These frameworks offer a set of guidelines, processes, and techniques for our members' businesses to use, to assist in strategic decisions, optimise operations and improve performance.

To ensure they are of most use, they need to be precise, practical and actionable, potentially with a couple of clear examples to see how the framework plays out in practice.

Getting started with your framework:

  1. Understand the audience

These frameworks are not intended for a general audience. Instead, we are on a mission to support impact founders and accelerate their social and environmental businesses. These frameworks need to take their specific needs, goals and motivations into account.

  1. Focus on one problem and offer an insight.

It should help to organise information around one topic or question, it isn’t a general tool.

A framework is only as good as its insights. The relationships a framework helps you to identify should be ones on which users can have an effect. If a framework only ever helps you see what you and everybody else already knows, then you do not really need that framework.

  1. Keep it simple and identify what is out of scope

The aim is to make sure our members understand how to get to the end goal quickly. This can mean taking the user on a step-by-step process, so that they are clear on how to take action. Where possible, use imagery and examples to demonstrate the process.
