💡
🚨 👉 For content to be great, it must enable a learner to take action.
</aside>
If the learner can’t take action, it will not help them to speed up the growth of their businesses.
If a learner doesn't take action, they haven't really learned anything. A teacher doesn't learn to teach by reading a book about it. You can't learn guitar by watching videos. Learners need to turn insight into action. Small actions from learning act as a catalyst in growth (think micro actions for macro impact).
As a guide, good content works with the “ACT” guidelines.
An acronym for Action Case studies Timely.
- Actionable -
-
Specific tactics, tools and frameworks for executing on the topic at hand - a great way to usually convey this information is through an example of how you or a client have executed on this topic.
-
Outcomes of content need to be clear and specific, not vague and generic (it shouldn’t be ”Google-able”).
-
Reflect on the unique experience and be explicit about the pains it addresses.
- Case Studies -
- Lean on real experience to give examples of successful implementation, nothing too theoretical.
- Theory and frameworks are very useful but please use examples to illustrate how the framework can be used
- Ideally sharing a project or activity that you have done and seen success in. Something more relevant to SMEs rather than talking about large multinationals like ‘Nike’, ‘Disney’.
- Time considerate -
- Stay punchy, don’t waffle. Simple sentences are perfect, bullet points work very well too. No chunky paragraphs or long rambles.
- If it’s an event (time-bound), let’s get to the point.
- People want to be able to act faster these days, help declutter their direction and help them make the world a better place faster.

- Always have a CTA to the programme - which you do ✅
- I like how you've integrated other media like the videos of Tom - I find that sort of content is always going to be very unique (can't find on Google or ChatGPT etc) - I wonder whether we could just put the whole library in there for people? 🎯
- 12 x videos of 90 second gold from a £M Successful Founder
- Love the 'Real World Tips' - this sort of thing could be made into a carousel for socials twice a week or something - to keep our presence up?
