For content to be great, it must enable a learner to take action. If the learner can’t take action, it will not help them to speed up the growth of their businesses.
As a guide, good content works with the “ACT” guidelines. A metaphor that content must be actionable.

Share tactics and ways of executing on the topic at hand - a great way to usually convey this information is through an example of how you or a client have executed on this topic.

Content can be written at a higher level and strategic, but please show how to implement the strategy. Don’t just say what it is. Outcomes of content need to be clear and specific, not vague and generic (it shouldn’t be ”Google-able”).

Reflect on your unique experience and be explicit about the pains it addresses.
- Case Studies -
- Lend on your own experience to give examples of successful implementation, nothing too theoretical.
- Theory and frameworks are very useful but please use examples to illustrate how the framework can be used
- Ideally sharing a project or activity that you have done and seen success in. Something more relevant to SMEs rather than talking about large multinationals like ‘Nike’, ‘Disney’.
- Time considerate -
- Stay punchy, don’t waffle. Simple sentences are perfect, bullet points work very well too. No chunky paragraphs or long rambles.
- If it’s an event (time-bound), let’s get to the point. People want to be able to act faster these days, help declutter their direction and help them make the world a better place faster.
